[Recap] Gamescom 2024 – Opening Night Live

Di era modern seperti sekarang ini, Jepang dan Amerika Serikat tidak lagi mendominasi industri video game. Hal ini terlihat dengan semakin banyaknya event-event game besar yang diselenggarakan di luar kedua negara tersebut, salah satunya adalah Jerman. Dihelat dari kota Cologne, kita yang berada di luar benua Eropa pun bisa turut menyaksikannya secara langsung berkat kemajuan teknologi internet.

Bertajuk Opening Night Live, acara ini berlangsung kurang lebih dua jam dan dipandu oleh Geoff Keighley, sang penggagas ajang penghargaan The Game Awards dan seorang pembawa acara asal Belgia bernama Eefje “Sjokz” Depoortere, yang naik daun sejak membawakan acara kejuaraan League of Legends. Mereka memberikan banyak update terbaru terkait game-game yang sudah diumumkan sebelumnya dan juga memperkenalkan beberapa judul baru yang muncul untuk pertama kalinya di hadapan publik.
